Logging in

You access SQRL through your web browser. Your organisation's administrator provides your login URL and initial credentials.

#Logging in with email and password

1. Open the SQRL login page in your browser.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Enter your password.
4. Select Sign in.

If your account belongs to more than one organisation, you see an organisation selection screen after you sign in. Select the organisation you want to work in. You can switch organisations later without signing out.

Your organisation may also enable Continue with Google as a sign-in option. Use the method your administrator has set up for your account.

#Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a second verification step to your login. After you enter your password, SQRL sends a one-time code to your email address. You enter that code to confirm your identity. Your organisation may require this step for all users.

To complete a login with two-factor authentication:

1. Enter your email and password, then select Sign in.
2. Check your email for the six-digit verification code.
3. Enter the code on the verification screen.
4. Select Verify.

The code is single-use and time-limited. If it expires, request a new one from the verification screen.

#Resetting your password

If you forget your password, you can reset it from the login page.

1. On the login page, select Forgot? (or Forgot password?).
2. Enter the email address associated with your SQRL account.
3. Select Send code.
4. Check your email for a reset code.
5. Enter the reset code on the verification screen.
6. Enter your new password.
7. Confirm your new password.
8. Select Reset password.

You are returned to the login page. Sign in with your new password.
