#Inviting a user

Required role: Owner, or a role with the Manage Users permission.

Required permissions: MANAGE_USERS

Prerequisites: At least one role must exist in the workspace before you can invite users.

  1. Navigate to the Users page.
  2. Select Invite User.
  3. Enter the user's email address.
  4. Select the role to assign to this user in the current workspace.
  5. Send the invitation.

What happens next: The user receives an email invitation. Once they accept and sign in, they can access the workspace with the permissions defined by their assigned role. Before they can participate in any signing workflow, they also need to set up their Signing Profile and register a key.

#Editing a user's role

Required role: Owner, or a role with the Manage Users permission.

Required permissions: MANAGE_USERS

  1. Navigate to the Users page.
  2. Find the user whose role you want to change.
  3. Select the option to edit their role assignment.
  4. Select the new role.
  5. Save the change.

The user's permissions update immediately.

#Deactivating a user

Required role: Owner, or a role with the Manage Users permission.

Required permissions: MANAGE_USERS

Deactivating a user removes their access to the workspace. It does not delete their account or their registered keys.

  1. Navigate to the Users page.
  2. Find the user you want to deactivate.
  3. Select the option to deactivate their access.
  4. Confirm the deactivation.
info:

Deactivating a user removes their workspace access but does not remove their key from any vault. If the user is a signer on a vault, confirm that the vault's threshold can still be met by the remaining active signers. A 2-of-3 vault that loses one signer effectively becomes 2-of-2 and loses its redundancy. Signers are set when a vault is created, so review this before you deactivate a signer.
